RUE DE GALAAD, CASTEL This family friendly hotel is one of very few remaining Guernsey family-run hotels on the island. Situated a stones throw from the islands west coast beaches, with their golden sands, crystal clear blue sea as far as the eye can see and sunsets that really take the breath away. All the hotels 19 bedrooms have been recently refurbished to ensure that high standards are maintained and that guests receive the service they expect on their visit to Guernsey. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area, a hotel safe, a cafe, a games room, a TV lounge and a restaurant. It also offers WLAN/Internet access and the guests can take advantage of the room and laundry services. There is parking available for those arriving by car and guests wishing to explore the island on bicycle will find a cycle hire station at the hotel.
HOUGUE DU POMMIER ROAD, CASTLE GUERNSEY This really is a beautiful family run hotel. The atmosphere is friendly throughout and staff are happy to help you organise any car hire/ day trips during your stay. There is leisure facilities including sauna, outdoor swimming pool, and BBQ area where regular BBQ s and theme nights are held.
All the bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and comprise either twin beds or a king bed, with either a shower only or a bath with shower over. They have satellite TV, radio, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. All rooms have cherry wood furniture and are light and airy.
The lobby is small and welcoming, leading onto a lounge and bar area where bar snacks are served throughout the day.
The exterior is of old farm house extended and renovated. The grounds of the hotel which cover some 22 vergees or 10 acres are a natural haven for birds and flower.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and quite famous in Guernsey proving very popular with tourists and locals alike. An extremely high standard of home cooked food is served by table d hotel and a la carte menus.
BAS COURTILS, ST. SAVIOURS There is a lovely courtyard and plush mature gardens. There is a boiler heated outdoor pool and a small kiddies pool. There are some sun lounges and tables and chairs for people to sit and have a meal. Also there is an adjoining field where children could run around or kick a ball. A lovely small family run friendly hotel.
All 15 bedrooms are ensuite and in good condition with medium in size. There is a mini bar and satellite television in all the rooms and all the facilities one would expect of a three star standard
This is a lovely restaurant which consists of a 60 cover.There is an carte du jour menu available. Also different theme nights take place in the restaurant. This restaurant operates only in the evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm except on Sundays where is operates for Sunday Lunch. Also there is the Huntsmans Lodge Bar which is open from 11 am to 12 midnight. Lunch is served from 12 pm to 2:00 pm and then dinner from 6:30pm to 9:30 pm.There is a large extensive menu as well as Specials of the Day.
During the summer when the weather is nice you could sit in the courtyard and have a BBQ during lunch or have a Bar meal during the evening. Food is very popular here with both tourists and locals alike.
There is a small reception area which is manned from 8 am to 11 pm. All night calls or emergencies are dealt by the night manager
ST ANNS PLACE, ST PETER PORT This historic hotel became the official residence of the Lt. Governor in 1796, before opening to serve its discerning guests in 1858. It retains much of its illustrious character and old world charm, but with all the contemporary comforts and features expected of a luxurious modern hotel. The city establishment comprises a total of 60 rooms and suites and is fully air-conditioned. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service and a hotel safe. On-site facilities include lift access, a bar, 2 restaurants, a business centre with conference facilities and WLAN Internet access.
