TREVOR, DENBIGHSHIRE This is one of the areas premier hotels and has a truly wonderful location in one of the most beautiful areas in Great Britain. Guests at Bryn Howel also have the opportunity to take advantage of the complimentary unlimited use of the Spa facilities (Hydro Pool, Steam room and sauna) at the Wild Pheasant - the sister hotel down the road in Llangollen.
Recently refurbished, each of the 36 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, tea and cofeee making facilities, hair dryer, direct dial telephone and TV with 10 digital channels. As befitting an old country house, the rooms in the oirignal building feature a degree of space and individualism seldom found in modern hotels. Many have antique beds and wooden beams as well as having splendid views over the Vale of Llangollen.
With its superb views of the ruins of Dinas Bran Castle, you can really take in the panoramic scenery from the windows of the Cedar Tree Restaurant. The awarding winning restaurant- traditional in style - uses fresh, daily delivered local produce to create a unique and classical menu. The bar follows the same trends with its ornate ceiling, leather chairs and historic fireplace.
The lobby is of a good size, more modern in contrast to the other rooms in the hotel with plenty of beige couches providing ample amounts of seating.
BERWYN, DENBIGSHIRE This is a great little hotel. The comfortable surroundings, a warm welcoming ambience, excellent food and great personal service are a combination that has ensured that guests return time after time. Guests also get complimentary use of the Spa facilities at the nearby sister hotel (Wild Pheasant) up the road in Llangollen.
All 36 rooms have been recently refurbished and are all en suite with a view of either the river Dee or the Llangollen Canal. They are traditional, clean and comfortable and many have balconies overlooking the river, bridge and waterfall.
The Riverside bar and Restaurant are unsurprisingly named such are their views outside of the big windows. A classical choice of dishes are available from the table dhote menu as well as the a la Carte choice and really friendly personal service is backed up by good food at modest prices.
The lobby is small with a small conservatory area leading off with magnificent views over the river.
BRIDGE STREET A good location to explore mid Wales and all it has to offer.
The rooms vary in size and are in good condition. They have decorated with light wooden furniture and pastel colours. All have en suite bathrooms.
The restaurant specialises in a range of traditional French and Welsh cuisine. The hotel also has a lounge and a cocktail bar.
Small but welcoming.
BRIDGE STREET Llangollen is a good location to experience all that Mid Wales has to offer.
The rooms differ in shape and size but are of a reasonable condition. All are en-suite and have facilities.
Good views over the river, informal restaurant.
The lobby is medium in size with small areas of seating throughout.
